About Me
My name is Scott Earle. I was born in 1965 in Yorkshire, in the North of England.
I have always been interested in everything technological. From the age of 14 I have had an interest in computers.
My first job was as a programmer for RCP, a small software company in Oxfordshire. I worked there from 1987 until 2004. I have been working as a software engineering manager and a lead developer here in Bangkok since 2005.
My interests are pretty much anything to do with electronics and computers, and amateur radio.
I have two brothers, Jared and Eliot. Jared lives near Glasgow (Western Scotland), and Eliot lives in Nottingham (in the Midlands of England). Our mother Dawne lives near Edinburgh in Eastern Scotland.
I married my ex-wife Lisa in 1994, and divorced in 2008. We have two children, James and Katie.
In 2008, I married my wife Emmy (real name เà¸à¸©à¸£à¸², nickname เà¸à¹‹ but it doesn’t translate to English very easily). We live together in our condo in central Bangkok.
I also have an interest in the Thai language, which I have been learning unofficially since 2005, although I have lived in Bangkok since 2004. You need to know some of the language in order to be able to get a taxi home, and to make sure you don’t starve!
